Police arrested 10 students for playing PUBG Mobile

Police in the state of Gujarat has arrested 10 students after they were caught playing PUBG Mobile. Gujarat is the only state of India where the authorities have banned the game last week over concerns that it’s too addicting and violent. While the students were released on bail later the same day.

A cop said that the students were so into the game that they didn’t even realize police has come to arrest them. Gujarat banned the game after the parents and educators made a complain that the game was too violent and its leading to distraction for students from studying.

A local Gujarat state minister called the game “a demon in every house,” as reported by the local media. PUBG is totally legal in all other states of India except Gujarat, but this ban can be expanded to other states too.

While other battle royale games like Fortnite, Apex Legends and others are legal in Gujarat.
