Spotify has released the final number of its streaming service for the decade in the inaugural edition of the “Wrapped”, a new year-end look at the Spotify’s most-streamed artists and albums.
Multiple Grammy Awards winner Drake was named Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the decade with more than 28 billion streams. Drake is followed by Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and Eminem respectively on the list.
Post Malone was named the most-streamed artist of the year 2019 with more than 6.5 billion streams, followed by Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande at second and third place on the list.
Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ named as the most streamed track of the decade accounted for more than 2.3 billion streams, while Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes’ collaboration ‘Senorita’ named most-streamed track of the year 2019 with more than 1 billion streams.
Billie Eilish’s ‘WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?’ named the most-streamed album of the year 2019
‘The Joe Budden Podcast with Rory and Mal’ named the most-streamed Podcast of the year as the company released that its Podcast listenership has grown by 50% in 2019 and more than 500,000 titles are now available on the platform.
Top-streamed album not released in the past decade: Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)
Top Breakout Artist: Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Lunay
Top Breakout Genre: Modern Bollywood (Spotify officially entered India in February 2019)
