Xiaomi has launched the Redmi AirDots 2 successor to its True Wireless Redmi AirDots (rebranded as Redmi Earbuds S in India) launched earlier this year in China.

Redmi AirDots 2 has the same design as the previous variant of Redmi AirDots that has a pebble-shaped charging case with Redmi branding on top and tiny earbuds of black color. The charging case has an LED in the front that shows the remaining charging level and it weighs about 35 grams.
The tiny earbuds are just 4.1 grams comes in equipped with 7.2mm drivers and microphone for calling and also offers DSP digital noise reduction technology. The earbuds are IPX4 water resistance rating, which makes them comfortable to use for gym and exercise.
Redmi AirDots 2 uses dual pairing technology that allows users to use both earbuds together and also allows them to use of earbuds in single and dual-mode.
It includes buttons on both earbuds that can be used to play/ pause music with a single tap, invokes voice assistants like Google Assistant or Alexa with a double-tap, or reject calls with a long-press.
It includes Bluetooth 5.0 to connect with your smartphone and it features a low-latency game mode that will be very useful for PUBG mobile fans that can be activated by pressing the button on the earbuds thrice.
The company promises that it can offer up to 4 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge and up to 12 hours using the charging case that includes a 300mAh battery that can charge the earbuds two or three times in the day.
The charging case takes about 2 hours for charging using a micro USB port for charging and the earbuds takes about 1.5 hours for full charge.
The Redmi AirDots 2 are priced at 79 yuan (~Rs. 850) and are only available in a single black color option as crowdfunding that starts from July 20 and will end on July 29th in China.
It will be priced at 99 yuan (~Rs. 1,000) after crowdfunding period ends.
