Apple’s Powerbeats 4 wireless earbuds are finally here and comes in packed with many essential upgrades than the Powerbeats 3 launched in 2016 that put it in competition with the Powerbeats Pro launched in 2019.
The design of the Powerbeats 4 has a new design that puts the cable watch has been routed down the end of the ear hooks, the new wireless earbuds offer more battery life upgrading from 12 hours to 15 hours in a single charge.
The five-minute Fast Fuel charging is still available and offers up to one hour of listening time in a few minutes which can be charged using a Lightning cable.
The Powerbeats 4 wireless earbuds are IPX4-rated sweat and water-resistant which makes it stand up to your workouts and some modest amount of moisture shouldn’t cause any issues. The inline remote has been replaced with a volume rocker on top of the right earbud and a multi-function control on the side-mounted “b” button handles audio playback, phone calls and much more.
It now comes in with the H1 chip that offers quick pairing, the ability to easily switch between iCloud-connected devices and, most importantly, hands-free Siri access on iOS. It can also be paired with a power button on top of the left earbud.
When the device is connected with an iPhone or iPad, users can access Apple’s virtual assistant with just saying ‘Hey Siri’ getting rid of pushing a button to access Siri.
The new Powerbeats 4 will be available from March 18th on Apple, Best Buy and other websites in black, white and red color options for $149 that makes it $50 cheaper than the Powerbeats 3.
No official word has been announced for release in other countries yet.
