The British car manufacturer MG Motors owned by China’s SAIC Motor Corporation Limited has unveiled the MG5 EV Station Wagon in the United Kingdom.

MG Z5 EV comes in with a 52.2 kW, Water-cooled Lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of 214 miles (344) km WLTP on a single charge that includes a 115 kW electric motor place in the front wheels of the car. It generates 260NM of torque and can go 0-100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.
It comes in with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, and it also offers three steering modes: Urban, Normal, and Dynamic. It comes in with a Tesla-like Regenerative braking system that extends the battery life.
According to the company, the car can be fully charged in about 8.5 hours using the bundled 7kW charger available in the front grill of the car, but with the 50kW DC superfast charger at a charging point, the compact SUV can be charged up to 80% in just 50 minutes.
The interior of the car can simply make you feel like you’re sitting in a Volkswagen car with major similarities you will find in any Volkswagen car and it features 16-inch ‘Meteor’ Alloy Wheels.
MG Z5 EV includes an 8-inch (20.32cm) touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, Anti-Rolling Protection, ESP, TPMS, EBA Read ISOFIX (X2), and reverse camera.
The MG5 EV will start at £24,495 (€26,770/$31,100) after £3,000 of the Plug-in Car Grant (MSRP is £27,495) in five color options namely Arctic White, Piccadilly Blue, Black Pearl, Westminster Silver, and Dynamic Red.
