Ford has finally made entry to the world of electric vehicles after revealing it’s much-anticipated Mustang inspired Mustang Mach-E, all-electric SUV on Sunday night in Los Angeles. An earlier leak spoiled the moment with some details bot not all so it’s worth the wait.
Ford’s Mustang Mach-E:
Ford’s Mustang Mach-E is a five-seater all-electric SUV that will be available in five variants that can travel up to 210 miles (~338 kilometers) in a single charge and also one variant can run up to 300 miles (482 kilometers) in a single charge.
Ford Mustang Mach-E variants:
Select:



The most affordable base variant dubbed as “Select” is priced at $43,875, it will be available in both RWD (Rear-wheel drive) and AWD (All-wheel drive) options packed with a 75.7kWh “standard range” battery pack. RWD variant travels about 230 miles (~370 kilometers), and around 255 horsepower, it can travel from 0-60 mph in just six or seven seconds.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
The AWD variant travels slower than RWD it goes up to 210 miles (~338 kilometers) on a single charge. Both the cars can be charged at rates of up to 115 kW at DC fast charging stations, while the rest of the Mustang Mach-E variants will be able to charge at up to 150kW.
Available in Spring 2021.
Premium:



Next up is “Premium” that starts at $50,600, it will be available in both RWD and AWD options and comes in with a 75.7kWh “standard range” battery pack but you can upgrade it to a 98.8kWh “extended range” pack which generates 333 horsepower.
Range: 210 miles for standard range with AWD, 230 miles for standard range with RWD, 270 miles for extended range with AWD, and 300 miles for extended range with RWD. AWD variant offers 0-60 mph in mid-five seconds range and RWD variant offers.
Available in late 2020.
California Route 1:



Next up is “California Route 1” that starts at $52,400, it will be available in only RWD option and comes in with a 98.8kWh “extended range” pack which generates 282 horsepower and can deliver up to 300 miles (~482 kilometers).
Available in Early 2021.
First Edition:



Ford has also planned a limited edition vehicle dubbed as “First Edition” that is priced at $59,900, it will be available in only AWD option and comes in with a 98.8kWh “extended range” pack which generates 333 horsepower and can deliver up to 270 miles (~434 kilometers).
It will be available with “First Edition” labels, brushed aluminum pedals, red brake calipers, and also it will be available in an exclusive bright blue color that will be available with this variant only.
Available in late 2020.
GT:



Final and the best, fastest, expensive variant of the Mustang Mach-E is dubbed as “GT” that starts at $60,500, it comes in with special GT badging and a metallic-looking front grille. it will be available in only AWD option and comes in with a 98.8kWh “extended range” pack which generates 459 horsepower thanks to the bigger electric motor on all wheels and can deliver up to 250 miles (~402 kilometers).
459 horsepower helps the car run from 0-60 mph in under four seconds not as fast as an ICE Mustang which goes from 0-60 mph in just over three seconds.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Exterior and Interior:
The new Mustang Mach-E features a new stretched, revised pony logo in the front of the grille, it has four doors but no door handles to open the car it features pillar-mounted buttons that pop the doors open upon pressing them, and a pull handle on the front driver and passenger sides each variant features its own 18-, 19-, or 20-inch wheel designs.
On the inside it has a huge legroom for comfortable ride and it has high-quality materials like synthetic “Sensico” leather on the seats and steering wheel also a Premium Black Onyx or Space Gray cloth on the dash and speakers.
It has a massive 15.5-inch touchscreen that is available in the front and center that also has a physical volume dial. It also features Ford’s new Sync infotainment system and Co-Pilot 360 2.0 the company’s latest active safety suite.
