Umidigi has unveiled its new Android 11-powered smartphone Umidigi A9 that includes a built-in contactless thermometer for reading temperature of individuals.

Umidigi A9 has a 6.53-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a teardrop notch on the top that holds an 8MP (f/1.8) selfie camera with a 1080p video calling support.
It comes in powered with the MediaTek Helio G25 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable using a dedicated microSD card slot.
Umidigi A9 features a rectangular triple-lens camera setup with a 13MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.0) ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV, and a 2MP depth sensor with an LED flash. The major feature of the phone is the Infrared Thermometer sensor on the rear camera array that also works with a dedicated button on the side of the device and a push-to-talk option to activate the thermometer app.
It comes in with Android 11 running out-of-the-box. On connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes in with a 5,150 mAh battery that can be charged using a 10W fast-charging support.
The Umidigi A9 is priced at $99.99 for the single 3GB + 64GB variant available in three color options Gray, Green, and Blue.
