Huawei has launched the Huawei P40 4G an affordable variant of the Huawei P40 in China.

Huawei P40 4G has a 6.1-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) OLED display with an 86.3% screen-to-body ratio and 19:5:9 aspect ratio display, it features a punch hole on the top left of the screen that holds a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with up to 4K video recording support.

It comes in powered by Kirin 990 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (UFS 3.0) which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card on the shared SIM slot.

It features a rectangular triple-lens rear camera with a 50MP (f/1.9) primary sensor with omnidirectional PDAF and OIS support, an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens packed with major mobile photography features. It features an under-display fingerprint sensor and it also offers an Infrared sensor on the front for biometrics based authentication and other features.

It comes with Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 running out-of-the-box without Google Play Services.

It includes a 3,800 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. On connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C 3.1 port for charging and data transfer.

Huawei P40 4G is available for 3,998 yuan (~Rs. 45,600) for the single 8GB + 128GB variant available in two Frost Silver and Dark Blue color options in China.
