Honor 9A with Helio P22, Triple-lens camera and 5,000 mAh battery launched in India

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced the Honor 9A in India adding a new device to its Honor 9 series after the launch of Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro in India.

Honor 9A specifications:

Honor 9A has a 6.3-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 81.3% screen-to-body ratio, and soft bezels on the bottom of the device. It features a dot notch on the display that holds an 8MP (f/2.0) wide selfie camera with 1080p video calling support.

Honor 9A features the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset that comes in coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage (eMMC 5.1) which can be expanded up to 512GB using a dedicated microSD card slot. It features an aurora gradient design on the back and equips a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device for security.

Honor 9A features a rectangular triple-lens rear camera setup with a 13MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV, and a 2MP depth sensor with multiple camera features.

It has a 5,000 mAh battery with a standard 10W USB Type-C charger with no fast-charging support. On connectivity, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB 2.0 port for data transfer.

It comes with Android 10-based Magic UI 3.1 running out-of-the-box but it does not offer Google Play service which has been suspended as per the restriction by the USA for listed Chinese companies.

Honor 9A Price & Availability

Honor 9A is available at Rs. 8,999 for the single 3GB + 64GB storage variant in two beautiful color options Midnight Black and Phantom Black.

The device is exclusively sold on Amazon and is available on sale starting from August 6th.
