Badshah’s “Paagal” smashed BTS record of most views on YouTube in 24 hours

Indian Rapper Badshah has just created a new record of most views on YouTube in 24-hours with his new song “Paagal” breaking the record set by the Korean Pop sensation BTS with their song “Boy with Luv” featuring Halsey.

Badshah’s Paagal collected more than 75 million views in the first 24-hours of the release of the video on YouTube, surpassing BTS’s Boy with Luv which grabbed 74.6 million views in just 24-hours of release on YouTube.

Update: Badshah admits that he purchased 7.2 crore views for Rs. 72 lakhs says Mumbai Police

Update: In a released statement YouTube stated that Badshah’s record label, Sony Music India, had purchased advertisements from Google and YouTube that embedded the video or directed fans to it in some way so its claims of Most views collected in 24 hours was dismissed and BTS’s Boy with Luv is still at the top with 74.6 million views in 24 hours.

Paagal Music Video:

Shridhar Subramaniam, President India, and the Middle East, Sony Music, added: “This is an unprecedented feat and we are very proud. This will go down history because Badshah has become the first Indian artist to reach 75 million views in 24 hours.”

This is the first time an Indian Artist video collected this number of views in 24-hours of release.

In September 2019, YouTube announced that their charts will no longer include paid advertising views.
